HIS HAND IS NOT SHORT

Isaiah 59:1

"Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear."

Our God is a God that answers prayer. He is not a deaf that he cannot ear, not a dumb that he cannot speak, not a blind that he cannot see, of course he sees you in that situation. God said ".... Let us make man in our own image, after our own likeness......" Genesis 1:26. This means God has eyes to see, ears to hear our cry and supplications, hand to save us in times of trouble. etc.

Prayer is the way to interpersonally communicate with God. 

Why is God silent over that situation?

Isaiah 59:2

"But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear."

Iniquity: This means 

• Deviation from what is right.
• A wrongful act.
• Absence of moral or spiritual values.
• Denial of the sovereignty of God.

Sin: This means

• Violation of moral or religious law.
• A misdeed.

N.B

• Iniquity separates one from God.
• Sin hide God's face from us.

Check your life today. Psalms 66:18 says "If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear." 

• Has your inquiry separated you from God?
• What wrongful act are you indulging in?
• Are you denying the sovereignty of God? 
• Do you lack spiritual values?
• Are you still struggling with that sin?

The word of God says “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?" Numbers 23:19

• God never fails. Check your life today 
• His hand is not shortened, he can deliver you. Check your life today.
• His hears are not heavy, he can hear you.
• He is more than capable to solve your problems. Check your life today
• Surrender your totality to Jesus Christ. He never fails, he never slumber. Check your life today
• Ask for the forgiveness of you sins and turn back to Jesus.

How to draw the hand of God near

"if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. II Chronicles 7:14

1. Be Humble
2. Pray to God earnestly without ceasing
3. Seek God's face
4. Turn from your wicked ways
