My Choice: Don't just see it, Hear Him

Naturally human beings tends to be moved quickly by what we see and not what we hear. 

Little wonder youths nowadays indulge in all forms of ungodly and unrighteous act not because they haven't heard that it's a sin unto God but because they are moved by what they saw.

Making or Taking a choice out of the plan of God for one's life always leads to a great danger. Don't just look at how good and pleasant the situation may present itself but hear what God is saying about it.

In today's text Abram's herdsmen and Lot's herdsmen are striving amidst themselves because they had a great possessions that the land cannot bear it.(Genesis 13:7-8)

Now it was time for them to go their separate ways. Then the Abram said in the book of Genesis 13:9-11

[9] Is not the whole land before you? Please separate from me. If you take the left, then I will go to the right; or, if you go to the right, then I will go to the left.â€

[10] And Lot lifted his eyes and saw all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere (before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah) like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt as you go toward Zoar.

[11] Then Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan, and Lot journeyed east. And they separated from each other.

The Bible says Lot lifted up his eyes (not unto God but to his desire) and saw i.e Lot was moved into action due to what he saw. He saw the plain of Jordan as a place well watered, a place of great satisfaction, a place of rest, he saw it as a place of abundance and plenty not knowing that it was a place to be destroyed (Sodom and Gomorrah) 

Abram never bothered himself because he was a man that listens and hears God speaking, a man not moved by what he sees but by what He hears from God. He never bothered himself because he knows that the plan of God towards him is to give him an expected end. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11

• Do not be moved by what you see rather hold unto God
• Always listen to what God has to say 
• Do not make a decision outside God's plan because it's leading to destruction.
• Wait upon the Lord for instructions and direction.
• The place that seems good in the eyes of men is a danger zone Proverbs 14:12;16:25
• Follow God's instructions without grumbling.
• Do not separated yourself from the carrier of Gods map and plan. (Lot separated himself from Abram and He lost his possessions)

What have you chosen or trying to chose without God's approval? Is it your work, your course of study, your career, your partner? 

Are you hearing God saying NO, don't go there? Don't do that? 

Never, never and ever choose out of God's plan. Shalom
